We recommend making your payment in a timely manner, as failure to make the remaining payment before the departure date will result in an additional charge of 15%. We look forward to providing you with an unforgettable experience on your next adventure with us at Kuraka Travel.

inka trail
Regarding the Inca Trail, it is necessary to make a prior reservation, which is made with the client’s information, such as their name, nationality, and passport number. It is important to note that this reservation cannot be transferred to another person and changes of dates are not allowed once the permit has been acquired. This regulation is established by the Ministry of Culture and the Peruvian Government, not by Kuraka Travel.
In case the Inca Trail is closed due to unforeseen circumstances or natural disasters that could compromise the safety of tourists, Kuraka Travel guarantees the substitution of the excursion for a safe and equivalent alternative.
Modification policy for alternate tours and packages planning
To modify dates for tours
- 30 or more days before the tour: 15% of the total tour cost
- 29 to 20 days before the tour: 25% of the total tour cost

Travel insurance
Kuraka Travel does not provide any type of insurance to its clients, therefore, we suggest that upon entering Peru, they acquire an international travel insurance. This insurance is highly recommended in case of unforeseen situations, such as flight cancellations, medical emergencies, lost luggage, air rescue, among others.
This type of insurance offers comprehensive coverage for tourists, providing them with peace of mind and security during their stay in the country. For this reason, Kuraka Travel recommends that its clients take all necessary precautions to enjoy their trip with the greatest possible peace of mind.
Regarding the passport
- Once the client has made their reservation with us, we will proceed to provide their information to make the corresponding reservation for entry to Machu Picchu, Waynapicchu, Machu Picchu Mountain, or the Inca Trail Network.
- This action will guarantee that the tourist can access the most important tourist sites in the area and enjoy their travel experience in the most satisfactory way possible. In addition, the Kuraka Travel team takes care of managing this reservation process to ensure the comfort and tranquility of its clients at all times.
- It is essential that the tourist presents their original passport to enter the Inca sites, as this document is the only one that can certify their identity as a legitimate visitor. Copies or other types of documents as proof of identity are not accepted.
- This measure is crucial to guarantee the security of tourist sites and tourists, as it seeks to avoid any type of fraud or document forgery. For this reason, Kuraka Travel recommends that its clients carry their original passport at all times during their stay in the area, to avoid inconvenience when accessing the most important tourist sites in the region.
- If the client has renewed their passport, it is important to carry both passports.
- It is important to note that if the passport information does not match the information provided initially, the tourist will not be able to continue with their trip. The client must inform that they have a new passport. If the client does not inform about their new passport upon arrival in Cusco, Kuraka Travel limits its responsibilities.
Fortuitous event or force majeure
In some cases, unforeseeable events may occur that are beyond the control of Kuraka Travel, which may affect your trip. Below, we will explain some examples of these events.
- Natural disasters: Events such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, among others, may occur that can affect the safety and mobility of travelers. These events are unpredictable and beyond the control of any travel agency.
- Political protests and riots: Occasionally, there may be demonstrations or riots in the country or region you plan to visit, which can affect the safety and mobility of travelers. In these cases, Kuraka Travel recommends following the recommendations of local authorities and avoiding places where these types of events are taking place.
- Climate change problems: Climate change can cause extreme weather phenomena, such as droughts, storms, snowfalls, among others, which can affect the safety and mobility of travelers.
- Pandemics: Pandemics can generate health measures and mobility restrictions that limit or prevent travel. Kuraka Travel recommends following the recommendations of health authorities and postponing your travel plans until the situation normalizes.
- Wars and terrorism: In some cases, there may be situations of armed conflict or terrorism that may affect the safety of travelers.
It is important to mention that in any of these cases, Kuraka Travel will limit itself to comply with the policies and measures established by the authorities and will not assume responsibility for the possible delays, cancellations or changes that may arise. However, our travel agency will always be available to provide you with information and advice on how to handle these situations.
risks
At Kuraka Travel, we want you to enjoy your adventure tours with the utmost safety. However, it is important to mention that in the event of unforeseen risks arising during the activity, the client assumes the risks associated with possible illnesses, personal accidents, medical emergencies, problems with air travel, among others.
These risks are inherent in any adventure activity, and although we take all necessary measures to minimize them, we cannot guarantee 100% safety. For this reason, in the event of any unforeseen situation, Kuraka Travel is not responsible for any damages or losses that may arise.
It is important to note that most adventure tours require good physical and mental health, as well as a certain level of skill and ability for the activity. Therefore, it is essential that you evaluate your capabilities and limitations before making a reservation.
